A study carried out by Dr. Ubirajara Barroso's team showed a link between children who have urinary incontinence and constipation with a higher risk of also having behavioral problems such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

"Children and adolescents with attention deficit often don't notice the urge to urinate before it happens," Dr. Barroso told the column.
